Will’s May 2010 in Review

So Will had a whole extra week to prepare for Eddie Adams Workshop and therefore I have seen even more of his potential entries. As typical of discussions based on one’s blood, sweat and tears, we disagreed passionately on some things. My point was Will’s strength lies in capturing seemingly trivial moment that are only revealed to be beautiful or interesting later on in a single shot. Here are Will’s photos from June that have that certain something that I think should define his EAW entry.

The man covering his face in such a way where his eye, nose and smile are still exposed, making his hand motion useless with Will’s well timed position. The artist’s paintbrush seems pushed off the canvas by the sunburst in the background, which is also mimicked in the painting. And I doubt scientists rarely realize they are such an interesting bunch of recursion-looking characters, sitting in rows, staring down their identical ‘scopes. Do more of this Will.
