New project with Doug

Doug’s computer sucks and therefore he has been a terrible poster. I know, I hate it too. I got to see AND work with him, however, when I went home to do a project. My Dad saw the below video that Doug and I made a year ago and asked for something to be shot in the same vein for a house he is trying to sell.

My Dad was inspired when he saw a 2 minute video at a real estate conference where there was a “mystery” that had to be solved and the plot line took you through the entire house. Apparently the house sold in a few days after it was posted and since my Dad sells real estate, which is (literally) the hardest hit by the foreclosure crisis, he could use all the help he could get.

I decided this would be the project I would once and for all learn the basics of Final Cut Pro and get some directing practice under my belt. So I got Doug to be my DP and we brainstormed a story that would allow a lot of this house to be seen. I am currently editing the video and expect it to be done next week and don’t want to ruin the surprise but here is a teaser shot:
