Fashion Hits a High Note

Lyric Opera San Diego celebrated their 30th anniversary as well as Birch North Park Theatre's 80th birthday with "Fashion Hits a High Note." Lyric Opera's artistic director, J. Sherwood Montgomery partnered with Leonard Simpson, the creator of Fashion Forward, an internationally known fashion production company that produces fashion shows and other high-profile entertainment projects from L.A. to New York, to put on the music-filled fashion show.

I covered a fashion show recently, one called “Fashion Hits a High Note.”  The designer, Leonard Simpson, who is a celebrity here in San Diego with his fashion production company Fashion Forward, rushed up and shook my hand after the show.  Granted, he hugged about a hundred people before and after he passed the press area where I was packing up.  I won’t let that keep me from feeling special.

You can see a ton more of my photos the La Jolla Light ran in their Lifestyle section and on their website.
